Why a bar and not a serum
The marks people are actually self-conscious about are on the underarms, the thighs and the elbows. No 30 ml dropper bottle is ever getting used on all of that, every day, for three months.

Avera Kojic Turmeric Serum Soap
A dark-spot serum you have to remember to apply becomes a dark-spot serum you use twice. And 30 ml was never going to cover your underarms, your inner thighs and the backs of your elbows. This is the same idea, in the one thing you already pick up every day.
Wet the bar thoroughly and stretch it to activate the elastic gel texture. Roll it gently over the skin, then add water to build a light foam and rinse clean.
Leave it on the skin for at least two minutes before you rinse. That is the technique, and it is the difference between washing with it and treating with it.
Kojic acid works on the look of uneven tone and dullness. Turmeric calms the skin and supports the glow. Four botanical oils hold moisture in, which is why it does not finish tight and squeaking.
Cold process: slow-cured at low temperature for four to five weeks so the oils are not cooked out of the bar on the way to you.
Underarms, inner thighs, elbows, knees, neck, chest and back — and the face, if you want to. It is one bar for all of it.
If you are using it on the face, start every other day and see how your skin takes it before going daily.
Surface dullness and general evenness tend to shift first, over a couple of weeks. Established marks take considerably longer — think six to twelve weeks of consistent use, and some marks never go completely.
Wear sunscreen on anything exposed. Kojic acid makes skin more sun-sensitive, and unprotected sun puts back exactly what you are trying to fade.

An ordinary bar slides over you and is down the drain in seconds. Most of what is in it never gets the contact time to do anything at all.
This one is a high-viscosity gel. Wet it and it stretches — and once it is on the skin, it stays there.

Underarms, inner thighs, the backs of the elbows, the neck, old marks across the chest and back. Those are the places people are genuinely self-conscious about — and the places a serum bottle was never going to reach.
A bar covers all of it, in the shower, in the same two minutes.
A serum has the actives but never reaches your thighs. A bar reaches everything but usually has nothing in it worth reaching with. This is the overlap.

★★★★★My underarms were the whole reason I bought it. Six weeks in and they are noticeably more even than they were.

★★★★★The two-minute rule matters. For the first fortnight I was rinsing it straight off and wondering why nothing was happening.

★★★★★The stretchy thing sounds like a gimmick until you use it. It genuinely stays where you put it.

★★★★★Old marks on my back from years of breakouts have faded more than with a serum I paid three times as much for.

★★★★★It does not leave me dry, which is the reason I gave up on every other brightening bar I have tried.

★★★★★Slow rather than magic. About a month before I could see it in photos and not just in my own head.

The marks people are actually self-conscious about are on the underarms, the thighs and the elbows. No 30 ml dropper bottle is ever getting used on all of that, every day, for three months.
A normal bar is on you for four seconds and then it is in the drain. A high-viscosity gel stays on the skin long enough for the actives to be more than a rinse-off.
Heat is what strips the character out of plant oils. Curing slowly at low temperature for four to five weeks is slower and more expensive, and it is the reason this cleanses without stripping.
Brightening actives used on their own can leave skin irritated and reactive, which is when people quit. Turmeric is there to calm, so the routine survives long enough to work.
Wet it thoroughly and stretch it to activate the gel texture. Roll it gently over the skin, leave it on for at least two minutes, then add water to build a light foam and rinse.
The two minutes are the part people skip, and they are the part that matters.
No. It works on discolouration — the marks that are darker than the rest of you. It does not change your natural tone and it is not a bleaching product.
Anything sold to you on that promise is something to walk away from.
Yes. Start every other day and see how your skin takes it before moving to daily. If it stings or stays red, use it on the body only.
Underarms, inner thighs, elbows, knees, neck, chest and back. Anywhere the tone is uneven or a breakout has left a shadow.
General evenness and surface dullness tend to shift within a couple of weeks. Established marks are a six to twelve week job with consistent use, and some marks never go entirely.
We would rather tell you that now than have you expect a week.
It should not. Four botanical oils and a cold-cured base are specifically what stop it finishing tight and squeaking, which is the usual complaint about brightening bars.
Patch test on the inner arm first and start every other day. Kojic acid is an active — most people are fine with it, some are not, and there is no way to know which you are without trying.
If it stings, stop.
Yes, on anything that sees daylight. Kojic acid makes skin more sun-sensitive, and unprotected sun puts straight back what you are working to fade.
110 g / 3.88 oz. How long that lasts depends entirely on how much of you you are using it on. Keep it on a draining dish rather than sitting in water and it will last considerably longer.
